chris, i like this idea. i am also working on reducing various companies. i.e. if u follow dell there is no need to follow cpq so u can limit to one company in one sector.

i like to trade companies (in ira) that i hold for long term in non ira. if u trade brand name companies u won't mind being an investor incase some thing goes wrong.
between csco and lu i prefer csco right now. for various reasons.

my picks : msft/ca, dell, csco, lu, pfe, wla, mrk.
don't have financial but like (trv/cci, mer)
retail: ? don't have any right now.
