Jim, I believe you did!! I did not read the post article but I can guarantee you the S&L cost the taxpayers a bundle. I will defend you but I doubt you need help! <ggg>

I read somewhere that one of the things that would fall thru the cracks with the mega bank mergers was bad loans and losses on derivatives. This would be accomplished by disguising them as acquisition & merger costs. This would keep the shareholders from knowing how bad they screwed the pooch.
