Why don't you list the applications you would like to have on your desktop in the future.

I think the point was that in 1986 people felt pretty much the same way. the average joe couldn't think of wanting much more than he had (except for those pesky MAC users) and the uptake of 386 machines was a little less than 10% of the market even 6 months after introduction.
