I Don't Want To Dream Anymore
We have come to know one another it seems almost by chance.
We have come close to one another without having exchanged a glance.
The phone and the Internet have brought us through a wonderful new door,
But I wanted to touch you; I don't want to dream anymore.
Is it just me...have we not slowly become alone?
If only the miles were shorter, so many deeds would already have been done...
Together we could wade from the deep waters of our sad lives to a
happier shore...
Letters and phone calls are all well and good...but I don't want to just dream any more.
To feel the warmth of your smile on my face, To breathe of you and feel your embrace,
To be with you and our sad cares erase....Isn't that what we were both longing for?
I just wanted to touch you,I don't want to dream anymore.
A life lived too long without love can dry the heart,
I won't continue with you, but it was so fine a start.
And dies the fires of this new flame, and all it holds in store,
I wanted you to feel me as I breathe your name...and not just dream anymore.
