Dear Jane:

Three years ago a revival broke out in Pensacola. You only hear "wispers" of it from the media. Read my lips, thousands and thousands of people have been saved and filled with the Holy Spirit in that city. Churches are having revivals that have continued for weeks and months; people are getting saved in restaurants, on street corners, people are falling out in the spirit in the lobby of Shoneys, the presence of the Holy Spirit is so strong. Crusades are bringing groups from all over the country into that city. It is THE focal point of the power of God in this present age, in this country.

Last night, I witnessed a "class act of major proportions" . I have to share it with you.

Our town began a summer soltice festival last night called Chatauqua; named after an old indian festival. We will have for example the Lynns this year; both daughters of Loretta Lynn as a featured attraction. The festival pays for it all, no admission fees. Last night there was the feature of a few country bands .

Our church had Laverene and Edith Tripp last night. Apparently, most everyone went to hear two no name country bands and we only had 150 people show up to hear two of the best gospel artists this nation has ever produced .

Undaunted, Edith and Laverne gave a production that would have pleased an audience of 10,000. They really put their hearts and souls into it; even though the numbers of people were so few.

Well guess what, out of an audience of 150 they led 15 people to salvation. 10 % is not a bad percentage; praise God. One lady had to be 75 years of age, another was a teenager, a whole family 2 parents and two children accepted Christ, and another lady that lost her son to cancer three weeks ago.

My summation; Edith and Laverne Tripp are "class". They acted like they were performing for 10,000. I'll tell everyone to support them. They have an orphanage in India and can feed and clothe a child for $150.00 a year in that country. Things are so cheap in India compared to the USA overseas ministries can be 10 to 20 times as effective with the same amount of money.

In Christ.gregor
