INterestingly, Edith and Laverne came to Arizona, another small church, and Edith wasnt' feeling good and left soon after. LaVerne was at the door and was trying to talk to everyone, but the God's truth is, he started talking to me, and soon we were in a quite depthful discussion of the Walk, and all I can say is I sure hope no one misinterpreted the poor man talking to me for so long, but I feel it was the Lord's will, and we had a wonderful talk, and he is a very honest and very real man, who truly loves God with all his heart. He is very real. Doesn't pull punches, and felt that he had been going through motions for awhile like all of us, but also felt that he was being drawn back to the place he started out and wanted to be.

Thank you for bringing him up. And I hope the Lord is using him even more. I last saw him 5 maybe more, years ago. His testimony is one of the great ones, for sure, and I haven't the slightest doubt he could have easily been the biggest in Nashville, as it was a natural. ESPECIALLY at that particular moment in time. Nashville has since become a place for very good looking singers to be well marketed, and its kind of a different place now and open to all who can make money there. In his day, it was purely talent, and the look of a real country boy. Really exciting testimony.
