The thing that gets me about this co., and one of the reasons I have an open mind, is if this were a scam, insiders would be selling.

No doubt, these apsects make the story extremely interesting. I know that Segall/Sternberg know everything about the HES plasma expander market & science.

I just think that:

1) Hextend&reg will be approved by the FDA
2) Hextend&reg will not expand the hetastarch market (US $30-50M), nor will it command much of a premium
3) the world uses lower weight HES because of the coagulation problems
4) the added electrolytes won't solve the HES-induced coagulation problems
5) Abbott is interested in getting Pentalyte&reg (pentastarch) approved for plasma expansion
6) there was way too much hype running around about Hextend&reg
7) the HES market is crowded, and the Biotime differentiation of added electrolytes probably won't capture a large % of the market at any premium

I went back through thestreet.com's articles on Biotime. It seems that everyone has been saying exactly what I've been posting here. Those articles interviewed a few blood expert MD's & researchers. I just went through and learned it all for myself.
