Monty, The NT and win95 registries are different, but diddling them has never worked for me -- my DUMBA applies to both ;) To make things worse, NT offers the choice of regedit.exe or regedt32.exe. The former shows the correct file paths for MSWIN and DLWIN, but I can't find an entry for the DL icon in MSWIN ;) Suppose I could pose the question to Equis techsupport, but expect George would reply, and he invariably seeks to convince me that the bug is a feature [with unimportant occasional side effects] ;) Bob
