Pancho, While you were over in Italy enjoying that fine cusine I was fighting with Bell Atlantic for 2 weeks trying to get my phone lines fixed. With the static I was getting on the line, I wasn't able to connect to my computer. Bell Atlantic sent 4 different linemen to the house on 4 separate days, they changed the jacks, went to the main switching box to do their thing, no luck. Finally they changed the wire on the telephone pole, success. As one of the experience linemen told me "You got guys fixing your phone who were making pizza pies last week". Makes you long for the Ma Bell monopoly.
