One of the networks did a special on the Brownsville Revival a few months back. It was not objective reporting---they showed one set of parents decrying the change that had taken in their daughter. Christianity Today has devoted several articles to it---just an issue or two back, they had reported about some other churches that had carried the revival "home" and now their churches were holding nightly life changing meetings.
My wife & I attended one service there. Arrived very early on a Sunday morning and had to wait in line for hours in order to get in. The service was:
a) orderly
b) no (holy?) laughter
c) no speaking in tongues, although the Brownesville Church is an Assembly of God (glossalia) affliated
d) long
Our "imressions" were:
a) positive
b) that it was an authentic move of God

I am inclined to believe from my reading the "Toronto Blessing" is a different movement than the Brownesville Pensacola area revival. John Wimber's movement, the Vineyard---investigated the Toronto movement and the upshot was this group pulled out of the Vineyard Fellowship.

When we checked into a motel in Pensacola, we asked how far away Brownesville was. The answer from the motel desk man: "You go down the road to the third light, turn left and the Assembly of God Church is on the left." I said: "How's that?" He again repeated "You go down the road to the third light, turn left and the Assembly of God Church is on the left."
We hadn't said a thing about why we wanted to go to that city.

Go the the library and check out a couple of Christianity Today articles and they will fill you in on the details.

You can also get a weekly email on the internet by going to a search engine under the Brownesville Revival
