Thanks Three, I have been in a quandary lately over technical
details,suffering from information overload perhaps.

The CPQ is working fine except I lost 1/2 of my 32 meg memory and will replace it with 2-32's ordered over the web at $29 ea. Thank
goodness for cheap parts.
Am not worried about cheap computers or sales, had dinner (Fathers Day) with 4 computer scientists from vidoecom, geac, phg, bmcs.
We went in a new Ford Taurus wagon with 700 miles total
on oddometer
Miscellaneous discussions:
Q: How many computers in your (one person) office?
A. Eight, with two on the desk, 386's and 486's are gone now.
Q How many people and how many computers?
A.Eighty , having more than one computer each
Q. How many people and how many computers?
A. 140 with about two each
During dinner a PHG facility lost power and somebody's beeper went off, so I asked about it. Backup is batteries, followed by a diesel generator( 5000 kw), which computes as a very potent 7,000+ HP.
Meanwhile we are at Hulen Mall, 347,000 visitors per day,
which exceeds the avg 250,000 at the Cooper St mall. 4 New
resturants, 1 1/2 hour wait at the Outback. A new Lowes going
in on a 5 acre sight 1 mile N of the existing Home Depot.
Regular gas sells for < 99 cents.
I hear the growth in Austin may even exceed what is occuring here, so from where I stand that SEA crisis is going to have a bit of trouble affecting the economy deep in the heart of Texas.
(Disregarding a few overbuilt chip plants)
Regards
Sig
