Thu 28 Nov 96 News Release
Mr David Henstridge reports
The company has received further assay results from its El Encanto project
in Ecuador, South America. On trench No. 4A, holes 10 through 17,
significant results of greater than 2 g/t gold were received on the
following one metre intersections:

Au Ag
Drill Hole (g/t) (g/t)
---------- ----- -----
Hole 10 25.4 18.8
Hole 14 16.0 22.0
Hole 16 7.6 5.2
Hole 17 30.0 46.7

Assays results for an additional 12 drill holes are pending from two other
locations, trenches 5 and 7. A decision regarding further exploration in
this area will be made when all assay results have been received.
Mining equipment has been relocated to trench No. 7, to test the
possibility that the surface gold mineralization is dominantly controlled
by east-west structures. Trench No. 7 is where historical surface sampling
provided the best results. A new adit has begun 20 metres east of this
zone, to underground test the continuity of the high grade gold
mineralization.
Heavy mineral stream sediment samples collected earlier this year contained
highly anomalous gold arsenic and zinc, particularly from four drainages
between 4km and 9km northeast of El Encanto. Regional exploration crews are
presently conducting a more detailed exploration program in the area. Local
prospecting 700 metres north of El Encanto has successfully located new
gold mineralization with a grab sample of pyritic material assaying 97 g/t
Au.
