BCAM International, Inc., on Behalf of Its Subsidiary, ISTX, Inc. Names Peter Cavanagh to Head Tech Advisory Board
Leading Authority on the Foot and Its Function in Locomotion
MELVILLE, N.Y., June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- BCAM International, Inc. (Nasdaq: BCAM - news), developer of revolutionary patented intelligent surface and microvalve technology that allows surfaces in seating, footwear, mattresses and most products touching the body to automatically conform to the body for utmost in comfort and fit, announced today that it's subsidiary, ISTX, Inc. has established a Technology Advisory Board and named Peter R. Cavanagh, Distinguished Professor of Locomotion Studies, Biobehavioral Health, Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, and Medicine, of The Pennsylvania State University as head of this advisory board.

Dr. Cavanagh is also research director of Penn State's Diabetes Foot Clinics at University Park and at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA. He has served as a Visiting Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Manchester, UK and has lectured widely in the U.S., Europe, and Asia.Currently, Dr. Cavanagh holds grants from the American Diabetes Association, and the National Institute on Aging to conduct research on foot problems associated with diabetes. He is also funded by NASA and the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development to explore issues related to osteoporosis in Space and on Earth.
In addition, he is the holder of more than a dozen honors from various professional societies and educational institutions. Dr. Cavanagh is a past President of the American Society of Biomechanics and the International Society of Biomechanics. He is currently the Chairman of the Council on Foot Care of the American Diabetes Association and is a member of the British Diabetes Association and the European Association for the Study of Diabetes.
Dr. Cavanagh has contributed over 200 articles and abstracts to the professional literature, and is the author, co-author, editor or co-editor of seven books.
