While I believe the gamers are going to help make this board successful we shouldn't underestimate the 2D aspect. I also spend a lot of time with multiple windows open (browser windows to Si mainly ;) ) and screaming FAST 2D sounds good to me. Add the fact that I am at best an occasional gamer the Banshee fits the bill just right. Lets hope there are some OEMs looking hard at this. For those who are more industry savvy- Is it too soon for an OEM deal? Is this announcement saying they are ready for volume shipments? Don't boards need to be designed around this new chip? How long do boards take to be designed? Would diamond and creative be ready to market boards right away - have they already been working with TDFX? Sorry - as usual more questions than answers...
