cbstock,

I noted what I felt might have been the forces affecting the Max-Pain effect, if any, on the finalized June'98 Max-Pain graphs I posted over the weekend.

With Bay, the 'surprise' announcement by NT on Monday ;-)) buoyed the price near the Friday 'buy out' valuation and at the nearest strike price. News releases, world events, Greenspan, etc. will swamp out the Max-Pain effect, which is a second order effect.

With IOM... are you kidding? They made an earnings pre-announcement Thursday at 4:15, they announced they are going to take a huge loss in their quarterly numbers... this killed the Max-Pain effect outright for this month.

That help?

Ben A.
