Hi Pat,
Good call on Dell this year. The USRX giant dip was watched by me closely. Go to the threads here for those months. I'm sure the reasons were discussed fully.
When I saw that giant fall, I was waiting to help catch them. As usual I didn't have enough patience because after I bought in, it went down some more. Not much. No heart attack. Dell did the same thing to me. I originally bought Dell at 33, a week later or so it was 23, where I bought some more.
a couple of weeks ago, when USRX announced it 56K modem upgrade. The stock went to 82 intraday. I could have sold there, but I know the co is going to do better than 82. It then went down to 59, where I wish I mortgaged the farm to buy more. I didn't. History, it's now 73.
USRX will bring the 56K to market in Jan. 97. It will become the industry standand because they are first to market and a lot of co's will be using their technology. No one else is closer. Would you buy a comparable compaq without a 56K modem, or would you buy Dell with a 56K, if all things were equal, like the price.
The video phone: You call up someone long distance thru your computer. If they have USRX video tv phone, you can see people as you talk. I can't wait for this product hit the shelves. The time has come. I already have a usrx modem, so mine will be upgradable for under $100. As the days get closer to Jan. the stock price will increase. As more companies come out to support the USRX 56K modem, like Dell did yesterday, the stock price will jump up. This company has a huge following of nervous people. Thus the panic selling. Tomorrow we expect some profit taking. Dip time.
