Dear Jane; My biggest concern about this movement is the effect on unbelievers who see Christianity as one big circus. I would never bring an unbeliever to a service were people are falling out on the floor. I also have seen this lead to people looking for experience at the cost of genuine study of the Word of God. I have actually heard the leaders in Brownsville telling people to stop praying and let the Holy Spirit control them. Very dangerous if the spirit at work is not Holy. The Christian Research Institute is the link I provided you and John Kilpatrick pronounced God's judgement on them in the name of God. Specifically that the Holy Spirit would bring down their ministry in 90 days if they did not stop speaking out about them. He called it a prophesy of the Holy Spirit. He made this Prophesy on April 6th, 1997 in the name of God and the Holy spirit. Since it did not come to pass I must conclude the Spirit is not of God and I must turn away from this movement. Anyone who would like to hear this I will E-mail it to them if they can listen to real audio files. These people are not following the Holy Spirit and we should speak the truth about them. I know that many people are involved that are good Christian people. However love for my brothers and sisters and the unbelieving world require that I speak out about this issue. I know that I am being very conservative on this issue. Yeshua warned us many times to be careful of deception. I see no danger in turning away as I believe God knows my heart and I deeply feel I am being obedient in doing so. I may miss a blessing in being so careful but I believe in the faith once for all time delivered and I will contend for that faith. I need nothing new but the Bible and will test any new movement by the Word of God. What is going on in Florida does not meet the test IMHO. I pray for God's guidance as I do this.
