Brian,

Thanks for the pessimism. It's placed nicely before
a flicker of optimism in Mike's next post. My feeling
is you either sell this dog for a tax loss this year, or
you hold it for a tax loss next year with the hope that
something positive materializes from this horrible
story. I will hold on to that prayer. I've been assured
SEXI does have a functional product that at least
lives up to the claim thay they can pump analog
over UTP in the LAN. They appear to have some of these
systems at client sites. Have they sold them outright,
does the product live up to other claims, have the
resolved technical problems to the point of confidence
where they could go into large scale production and
installation, is the software ready, and do they
have any significant deals on the table?; these are
few questions which will hopefully be answered
in time. Let's say the company does get financing
to move forward, we have to (hopefully) believe that
anyone willing to put money into this company believes
that there are things on the horizon which will
guarantee the safety of their principle. There are
surly tons of arguements that play out a scenario
where this financer controls the company or a
large percentage of stock. Let's leave them out of the
discussion and go on the assumption that no person
would allow there capital (say 2-4 mil) to get tide
up in this mess unless they were very confident
there was potential in this product. So, if we do
see capital come into the company, there stands a
glimmer of chance that this stock will be valued
reasonably higher than these prices. This scenario
could be acted out. It will be interesting to see
how such a deal would be structured. Such details
likely won't come to our attention for some time.
I think right now there are just too many things going on
and too many unanswered questions to come to further
speculation. We don't know anything about the amount
of stock out, if any stock will be rescinded, if any
money will be disgorged, if any money will come
back to the company, or any number of other similar
questions. I have to wonder how much the company knows
about these matters. What we need to know
is the company has operating capital to weather the
immediate storm. This is a reasonable question to ask.
