Dear DLL:

I first became acquainted with Pensacola on the Freedom thread. We were discussing a lawsuit filed by parents of a teenage boy from Charleston W Va. whose youth counselor from a local church took the teenager to Pensacola . The boy was baptized with the Holy Spirit there and the baptism was so strong the boy fell out in the Holy Spirit after coming home. The parents became so alarmed they claimed demon possession. If you want the whole article search under I think it was the Charleston Gazette, for articles under demon possession.

I'm not going down that road of not agreeing with you or to pass judgement on whether it is in the best interest of Christ to discuss this openly or privately or not at all.

But I will tell you what my own personal experience has been, just one time.

I was at an altar one night at a revival. Shirley Jones was the evangelist. A grandmother from Australia. I had come to the altar to request prayer for a slipped disc in my neck. I had hit about two feet behind a golf ball a year earlier and heard something pop in my neck. I suffered for a year, was on pain killers and felt I would never again be able to play golf that I dearly love.

When she laid hands on me my legs started trembling. I lift weights two days a week and can leg press 350 pounds, twice my body weight. I had seen these people on TV "pass out" and I thought, no way am I going to make a complete fool out of my self, no way !!

I fought it all the way down; my legs would not support my weight; they shook uncontrollably. When I hit the floor I was aware of what was going on around me but a peace came over me that I had never felt before. It was like being drunk but a much better drunk than what I had ever experienced before ( I was an old Zeta Psi brother that could party till the cows came home ). I just did not care what was happening around me. I then felt something physically lift me off the floor; it hurt the middle part of my back but when I got to my feet my neck was not hurting-- my mid back was hurting though. After a few days my back quit hurting and I never had another problem with my neck- my golf game is high 70's and I'm back to lifting weights.

In Christ.gregor
