You go on a Thanksgiving holiday vacation and hell breaks loose. My take on ATCO's price being lower is due to traders and marketmakers wanting to relieve themselves of stress before a holiday feast. Nothing like an upset stomach before a big dinner. In all seriousness, we can only surmise that someone sold a large position.
Carol, it is all part of the lunar phase -- as you can see everything seems to have quieted down at the looney farm. People get sued for libel or brought to task by companies for spreading innuendos and baseless rumors, and I would not be surprised if this happens to someone we know.
Skeet Shipman, I'm sure you can send an e-mail to the research manager at Carver for an answer to your technical question (go to Carver's web site: carver.com).
Alan, you lucky dog you. What made you show your hand? Let's see, hhmmm, 18,000 at a future price of $55.55 per share makes a million. It could all possibly happen in a year's time or in due time. I agree with Bill Fischofer that you should talk to Robert Putnam and also arrange a meeting with Carver to see where they are with this technology. Speaking of Carver, their share price has been on an uptrend lately.
To all, since I initated to start a new thread under the Miscellaneous(Technology), I'd like to take this opportunity to write that I am not a representative of any company, a broker, or a marketmaker (heaven forbid). I am a stockholder in ATCO and nothing else -- and just like everybody else, chasing the almighty dollar.
Regards, SunAge
PS. So far, ATCO has stayed above the $5 per share range and if it does go below, I call it an opportunity to average down or a chance to purchase more shares at a discount. Here we go again, chasing the almighty dollar! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! |
