The question is at what point do asian companies become compelling buys? Some have D/E's of 400-600%!?!? This is akin to a house of cards so invest if you have the nerves. Most asian stockmarkets fell about 50% max, and this is after these horrible #'s are revealed. Compare those cos. with their American counterparts, who have stellar balance sheets with record cash, some with zero debt(AMAT D/E=9%). In addition, one must worry about currency translations when investing overseas. IMHO, the risk/reward ratio is nowhere near my threshold yet.
