Most people forget that RMBS is--and will be--making $$$ the same way as all software companies: licensing fees and royalties, nothing shabby about that. (Just look at MSFT and SAP).

In fact, this is the "model" most brokerage houses use to do RMBS's valuation (i.e.Morgan Stanley and H&Q).
