Klaus you are a Klaun!

I really do hope the Yugos win the group just so I can laugh out loud when Holland destroys Germany. Then we will all personally nominate you for the Thread Morons, as you will have so richly deserved it with your wild arrogance.

Nevertheless, I thought your posting about the USA was hilarious (could be merely a result of that comical German-English of yours). It was a joke, I hope. When the US decides to be world-class and puts the funds and talent behind the effort, I believe we could reach the quarter-finals within three World Cups. Winning, however, will take at least another two generations, if it is ever possible. Americans are just not that interested in soccer, an unfortunate truth we who love the game must face. How can a nation who places soccer a distant fourth or fifth expect to be a world power? It will be very difficult, to say the least. And forget it until our professional league begins to attract the attention and pay the kinds of salaries that are commanded in Europe. Until then, no talented kid will choose soccer over another sport, such as baseball, basketball or American football, where the money and glory are much more in evidence.
