why do you say that maintaining a 10000 stock database in Metastock with virtual will be difficult? Maintaining the stocks database in MS format with the virtual interface is not particularly hard. Using that database with other software may be difficult. With most software, you have to know what directory an issue is in before you can display it. Also, scanning all those issues in a virtual database will be slow. Gary
