Patrick, Yes, it seems like a long time ago. The NC was going to take over the world and the NC with big servers was going to do WINTEL in..... I had some fun with this issue on the Sun thread. I told Cheryl Williamson that SUNW would be forced to embrace WINTEL by the time erced is introduced and that NCs would be be a dead issue. Cheryl is a paid threadster who works for SUNW marketing. Since that time SUNW has announced Solaris support for MERCED and they will drop SPARC like a hot rock when they have too. They will be reduced to competing with DELL as a BOXMAKER and system integrator. Ah...memories
