Dear Turboe: Thank you for your well thought-out response to my post, even if it was all in bold-faced type. I do have a few minor points of contention with some of your comments (well actually ALL of your comments), so here goes:

>>> What is with all these Canadians/Britons? Wonder why almost all Bashers are Canadians?

1) What evidence do you have that "almost all bashers are Canadians"? Have you done a survey? Please enlighten us with some figures. If your contention is correct, perhaps it has something to do with the differences in the experiences of Canadian investors - particularly the Bre-X scandal (and other penny stock mining scams over the years) - which taught many of us a valuable lesson and made some of us particularly sensitive to hype and lies.

2) Are you claiming that I am a "basher"? If so, you are completely wrong. Of course you can prove yourself right by backing up this assertion with the names of stocks that I have bashed, and if possible actual links to actual postings where I have "bashed" a stock. But if I were you, I wouldn't waste my time.

3) Please do not lump Canadians and Britons together - it is about as valid as lumping Americans and the British together. While it is true that at one time Canada was a British colony (as was the USA), Canada has been an independent country since 1867. The three founding nations of Canada were Britain, France, and of course the First Nations (aboriginals), so Canada has never been an entirely "British" country anyway. In the 20th century, immigration has been from all parts of the world (including Europe, Africa, Asia, the Carribean, the USA - especially during the Viet Nam war, and Latin America), while immigration from the UK has declined. While there are still obvious historical and cultural ties to England (such as our legal code - based on British common law except in Quebec where the legal system is based on French law, and our parliamentary system of government), the political influence of Britain has greatly diminished since WW II and was officialy eliminated with the repatriation of Canada's constitution in 1980.

>>> Maybe we should go to war again...

Sure why don't you call up Mr. Clinton and suggest it - I'm sure he or one of his agents would be happy to talk to you. "Hello Mr. President, some Canadians [but not John A. Sladek of course] said something negative about some BB stock that I own, would you please throw 180 years of peace and cooperation between our two countries into the rubbish bin [gotta love those British expressions] and send in the marines".

>>> 1st, no one in the family would make them on the internet. Much more likely in person...

I don't know what family your are talking about. Regarding the threat, I would refer you to the following post: [ Message 4948278 ]. As you know, it references a post which supposedly appeared on AOL which contains the following statements:

"Since I live in NYC I have come to know a great deal of people that do me favors and likewise.....These 'goodfellas' also have money tied up in our stock and they are extremely fed up with the price going down due to people like Jhild, Little Engine, Janice Shell, Taste Like Chicken, Coffee Pot, Mr.Forthright, and Andrew H. ...Do you think these guys like to lose money on investments? LOL....absolutely not....My point is: they will take every necessary action to stop the bashing and nayslaying on this thread...These connected people feel that MTEI is a solid investment but is being rundown by a group of low lifes....There goal is to end this and end it QUICKLY...They will do what ever is necessary to end their absurd attack on ourstock..."

To me it looks like the poster is implying that he knows some criminals who are prepared to "take ever necessary action" and "do whatever is necessary" to silence the listed people. In my opinion, this would constitute a threat. Of course, your founding fathers anticipated this sort of situation and established an apparatus, called the judicial branch, to get to resolve these sorts of matters.

>>> 2nd, if anyone ever got a real threat they would send it to the FBI and/or those guys on horses... I would-- it is patently illegal and a felony...

Well I do not know what the people who are the object of this threat plan to do - that is why I made my posting - to find out what they were doing, and to reinforce the seriousness of the matter (by quoting relevant Canadian law - and I am sure that there are equivalent American laws) if they were planning on doing nothing.

I myself do not know wether these posts are real or not (and neither do you) as I was not the recipient of them. Maybe it will turn out that they were fake, but right now, I have no reason to assume that they are not real.

>>> You really expect us to believe this BS?

You can believe what ever BS you like - apparently its a free country.

>>> And you drag companies into it?

Please reread my post, I never mentioned any companies. Besides, this has nothing to do directly with any companies - its about one person making a threat on the internet.

>> Guys/gals this is illegal too.

1) Why use the plural - I am a single person, and from my name, it is fairly obvious that I am a "guy" (or are the wimmin called "John" where you come from?). I have not enganged in any illegal activity, and resent the accusation. If you are accusing me of engaging in an illegal activity, I would caution you that you could be in violation of the law and furhtermore would draw your attention to the following post: Message 4797759 ].

2) Maybe did you use the plural because you believe that I am involved with a group of people? If this is the case you are completely mistaken as well.

3) The referenced post does not imply that any company made any kind of a threat or engaged in any illegal activity. However it does allege that one shareholder (or possibly some shareholders) of a particular company are prepared to take some unspecified but implied dire action (i.e. "whatever it takes") to silence critics of that company.

>>> All of this crap is being sent to the SEC by me personally.

Good for you, I hope that you will keep us all informed about what they say.

>>> There is not much protection concerning the internet if felonies or stock manipulation are involved.

Perhaps you never heard of a BB stock called NVID International then - at least one guy's going to the gaol [I hope you enjoy my use of the British spelling for jail] for internet related stock fraud - namely running a scam BB stock operation. Dissemination of false information on the internet was part of this claim, and members of SI testified at the trial (and explained to the court how SI worked).

Here's the link to the thread:

Subject 5573

and a post containing the SEC allegations.

Message 3517951

If you want to learn mre about how a stock scam works, I urge you to read this thread.

>>> All has been quitely accumulated over the weekend. I have just kept quiet and made notes.

Well bully for you - I hope that your crayons hold out. BTW, my postings have all been made on Monday, none were made on the weekend.

>>> On side or the other will fall-- I guarantee it...
Whatever ...

Regards,
John Sladek
