Having covered most of my short positions in the low 80's to, I shorted Dell again today at 88 1/2. Checked the options market, the Jul 85 put closed at 3 1/4 (the ask price). Why would people want to buy puts at this price. Can someone help me understand?

Wouldn't it be good strategy to sell some puts as a hedge to cover my shorts at these prices, or am I missing something?

I need help! Thanks.
