Your immediate problem is probably your C drive. The Win95 virtual memory is most likely on your C drive and it does not have room to move. You could change it to the D drive and your machine might work a little better. You can change it to the D Drive in Settings/Control Panel/System/Device Manager/Performance. This is also where you can find how much RAM your machine has. Right click your modem in the device manager to find out more about it.

If your machine is based on your 386 motherboard I would leave it as is and buy a new machine. I would not throw money at old technology. Keep the machine as a backup computer. JMHO

Street Walker has about six months of research into a trading machine with value in mind. I believe he is opting for Win98 and multimonitors. He hasn't posted a final configuration but stay tuned as the machine is in its final stages.

If you opt for a new machine you need to decide between Slot 1 Intel PII based systems and AMD socket seven based systems IMHO. Dave Hanson makes a good case for the super seven epox mobo. You can get a barebones + system at ESC. Here is a possible configuration. Not all parts are available at ESC (they do not sell Matrox video cards)
