More channel checks:

I've been calling several Funcoland stores, with mixed results. Most stores have sold their original batch, and some have sold thru their first reorder (generally between 15-20 units per batch). Probably half of the stores are witnessing slow demand for Quest now that the folks providing the initial demand have already purchased their copies. Yet the other half of stores are still selling 1-2 copies per day, on average. I think that this sell-through is pretty decent, especially considering the advertising campaign has yet to gain momentum. I am comfortable with my estimate for 350,000 units in Q2, and I believe that at least half as many units can be shipped in Q3.

The general opinion from store managers is that Quest is more suitable for children, but it's entertaining, and it's a good pre-Zelda RPG solution.

Overall, I'm not surprised by the market demand, either positive or negative. It sure looks like this one has significantly more demand than Pax.
