Would you imply that the institutions are viewing this as a speculative investment, with a short term return, or a long term investment? Or can we even venture a guess?

I view the increased stability that comes along with institutional money with mixed blessing, since I've been skimming off some nice money day-trading on the volatility! <g>

One guess is that the institutional guys are adding a bit of segment-trading, and the returns on the Y2K group have been too significant to overlook over the past year, with TAVA leading the pack. It would be unwise for them to *not* have a sprinkling of Y2K companies given these recent returns...
