To anyone who wants to discuss it: I am starting to get disillusioned with FTEL. I have been invested in them for almost 5 years now. I have seen numerous times where they start heading in a direction only to change in midstream. It appears that they are comfortable with their current direction and things look bright...however, I am starting to question whether they can pull it off. I think their marketing skills are horrible, and have been for many years. They have repeatedly put out ill-timed news releases, or news releases that caused more questions than answers, or generated more doubt that positive thoughts. I realize they have new marketing people but I haven't really seen a change yet. It "could" be that they are on the verge of blowing the roof off, but I have no indication that that is the case. I think there are many on this thread that have "fallen in love" with this stock and are not looking at it objectively as an investment. As a result if anyone brings up ANYTHING that can be remotely construed as negative they are blasted.
The problem with the stock price, IMHO, is that no one in the investment community knows about FTEL. They need to take serious steps to address this if they want a NASD listing. Without something serious the only thing that will impress investors (and result in the desired stock price) is sales. Unfortunately, I don't see this happening and getting reported before the September 2nd timeframe. What I mean by this is that while the sales may actually be there, the quarter will not be over to report them yet. There is only one quarter left to be reported before 9/2 and that is the June 30 quarter. I expect to see a significant increase in sales but I seriously doubt that it will be enough, on its own, to warrant the kind of price increase that is needed. Another possibility is an announced agreement(s) of significant sales. I think the market defines significant differently than many on this thread. Many here thought the JM Best order was "significant" but the market didn't.
I am not bashing FTEL, nor do I want to cause an argument. I would be interested in seeing some discussion on how FTEL is going to get the stock price up by Sept. 2. Any ideas or speculation? |
