Rob;
In answer to the first question, I have done a fair amount of business with this broker and he knows my confidence in future suggestions of his is based on his performance. Also, he makes a commission on my sales as well as my buys, the sell commission being smaller the lower my stock price falls. I have to wonder how a secret (unknown problems in the pipeline) could be so closely held that we wouldn't sniff a hint of it, yet so broadly known as to spur stock sales and inhibit buys such that the price of the stock goes down by 1/3. Should PPD be trading at a PE of 45-50 now? If the answer isn't obviously yes I think the conspiracy theory may not hold.

As for the second point about mutual funds, it ain't fair. I don't know why it should even be legal.
Les
