I did my first trade this morning with Datek, and everything executed just fine! I had a little trouble getting my account set up 2 weeks ago, because it takes a little while to get you re-authorized, if you do not get your paperwork in within the 3 week window. After finally getting authorized, I have been out of town for the last 10 days, and unable to watch the markets - so no day trading.
My trade executed immediately, at the price I wanted, which has still been the low for the day on the stock.
I had a lot of help from Tim, who monitors this thread, to help people like me.
I have heard from a lot of reliable people, that for simple trades, Datek is the place to be. I hope everyone can have a good experience with Datek also, and they appear to "try" to solve your problems... at least they took care of me in a positive light.
