Fri 29 Nov 96 News Release
Mr Jim Williams reports
The project construction is now 85% complete and Minproc is anticipating
December 30 as the date when ore will go into the circuit. Any change in
this date will be in the order of days, not weeks.
The weather continues to be kind (dry) which, to a degree, compensates for
March, April and May.
The sag mill has been installed and steel liners are currently being
installed. The Morgardshammar mill is 5m in diameter and 6.1m long and is
driven by a 2.3 mw motor which will draw 1.6 mw.
Stage I tailings dam has been constructed to accommodate the tailings for
the first 18 months. It will be increased in height in the middle of 1997.
In the foreground are containers each containing either 0.75 mw or 1.25 mw
generators. The raft in the tailings dam holds the pumps which supply
decant water to the process plant.
