Karin: Yes, and it would be great if Brinker decided to take up residence in the room above my garage <g>. Seriously, the goal of the radio business from ABC's perspective is to get and retain listeners. Transcripts would serve to undermine that business plan. Or are you saying you would gladly read the commercials along with the transcripts <g>? Besides, if transcripts were available Brinker would then be blamed for all the overgrown lawns in the US as it is a well known fact that many Brinker fans cut their lawns while listening to the program. The transcript temptation would be too great. Mowers would lose any sense of self-discipline as they reach for the transcripts and lawns would be left to grow unchecked. Dogs and small children would be lost in a sea of green. If you don't believe me, just look at the lawns in you neighborhood after a weekend of Flannigan. The lines are all over the place or the lawns are half done as mowers either doze off at the controls or give up and grab a siesta. Transcripts would be a national disaster.
