Medar gets $1.5 mln in DVD, CDR orders Reuters Story - June 22, 1998 17:50 FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., June 22 (Reuters) - Medar Inc. said Monday it received orders worth $1.5 million for its DVD and CDR inspection systems from customers in Asia. The company said the orders are for delivery, mostly in the third quarter of this year. "We are pleased to have been awarded these orders, particularly with the current economic situation in Asia," said Charles Drake, chairman and chief executive officer. "As we announced in April, we have elected to concentrate in the disc business with inspection products for DVD and CDR."
