It's trading as FTICD today. I guess this is due to the name change from Forensic Technologies to FTI Consulting. It doesn't seem to be affecting the price of the stock.

I agree that the price of FTI is volatile, and the earnings will be somewhat "lumpy" (due to the small size of the company, the importance of individual contract closures on quarterly earnings). I still feel it's a good long term stock. Some risk of course; but I feel the year to year growth will continue to be good, and the multi-year appreciation of the shares should be above the overall stock market. Oddly, the numbers for projected earnings (shown on Yahoo/Zacks) have changed since my post of yesterday. They've now shaved the 1998 earnings to 88 cents (again), and taken the 1999 projected eps to $1.05. Still would be great if they can make those numbers, and we'll see if they can actually surpass them.
