Dowd, you're a content-free weenie as usual. So, the stupid consent decree action went down in flames. The consensus (oops) was that the consent decree was meaningless from the start. Bill couldn't resist rubbing people's noses in it the minute it was signed.

I'd be a bit hesitant to extrapolate this victory into the broader action currently underway. Greenspan doens't have anything to do with it either, except as a somewhat more reputable friend of Bill than Dick Armey, Lauch Faircloth, or Matt Drudge.

As for what has a basis in law, I'd take your word about as far as I'd take local legal (and everything else) expert Reggie. If you actually want to read something about the economic and legal issues and not blather the usual stupid Chrysler car radio analogies, I'd refer you to economist.com . Knowing your penchant for "substantive discussion" aka ad hominem attacks, versus "hot air", I'm not holding my breath.

Cheers, Dan.
