I've seen this idea put forth before on this thread. It doesn't
make sense to me.

Surely Grauz, as a shareholder, has the same rights as any other
shareholder, proportionate to his holdings. If Galton wants
to punish Grauz, he cannot do it without punishing every other
shareholder.

If you mean to suggest that Galton is a crook, and is holding the
price down to extract shares at a cheap price from any shareholder
who chooses to sell at $0.10, then that would make sense to me
(although I mean to make no such suggestion myself). But
he cannot "pick on" Grauz in particular by such manipulations. And
I don't know what reason there is to think that Grauz would sell
at $0.10, or $0.05, or $0.02.
