Dell is one of 28 stocks on our current short list- stocks that are highly overvalued on a fundamental basis. We only short any of then when our software indicates a technical break is near. On the short side we are almost never wrong- once in the past two years. On the long side we went from 56 stocks on our radar in November to 6 today, and we usually hold these intermediate term somewhat independent of technical status. Great record long, but not perfect. This is all we do from the business standpoint, and are extremely good at. Your points are all correct about Dell, but we were short through the last earnings announcement too. Shorted within 24 hours of the high, and covered within 1 hour of the low. Thats the way it usually goes with our short program. Anyway, Dell is not a short yet.
