Neal I'm actually serious about that one :)

In a trading room we are always dealing with xeroxed copies of various reports, often things that have been handwritten. As you are updating throughout the day if you use black ink you run the risk of someone looking at a report or a blotter and not recognizing an update because the black ink isn't visually very different from the xerox. I had a friend at another firm who lost over half a million dollars on an out trade that was not caught because someone missed an update on a xeroxed report. Since that date I have been fanatical about banning black ink from my trading room. I immediately throw all black pens away. Its almost become a superstition now and is cause for great humour and practical jokes by the people who work for me.
