>> Look what is happening to seek after a deal with Disney <<

Let me get this straight: Disney buys 43% of SEEK for a per-share price that is about one-half to one-quarter market value, depending on which analyst you believe. The market runs SEEK to $40 a share before it figures out that Disney is getting a huge discount, NOT paying a premium. Then SEEK sinks to below where it was before the deal was anticipated, despite a rising overall market, as reality slowly sinks in.

Meanwhile, other 'net stocks are run up to record levels in anticipation of getting a similar great deal.

What am I missing?

Oh yes, I left out that Disney passed up other 'net stocks as too pricey. And now they're even more so.
