MANU Responds to Lawsuits . . . with a lukewarm statement about their actions. I think the company has a lot to answer for, especially why the news about the bad quarter was leaked to MANU's underwriters before it was made public, why options trading exploded in the days leading up to the announcement, and why Gibson and other managers were dumping their stock just before the quarter ended. That being said, I think these lawsuits are silly, a waste of money, and will not benefit shareholders in the least.

(Nasdaq: MANU), today announced that it has recently learned that lawsuits have been filed against the Company in the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota and the District of Maryland, Southern Division. Each of the complaints alleges certain disclosure violations under the federal securities laws against the Company, its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and its Chief Financial Officer, arising from alleged omissions and misrepresentations by the Company and the two individuals regarding the Company's business, operations, and financial condition.
