Gary the company has a plan to produce the compiler of choice for software developers. A recent article in one of the Mac publications indicated that the Symantec compiler package for writing C++ was for sale for $499. I would submit that a purchaser would look hard at the Metrowerks CodeWarrior product that writes to Pascal,C,C+,C++,Java,Magicap,Bbox,Pilot,PowerTV..(I think I missed a couple) all for $399. AND reviews I've read suggest CodeWarrior is a superior product. Which would you buy?

In May the company will release the Java package and by the fall it will move into Windows based applications. The market for CodeWarrior will then mushroom to ±10 million. It will put the company in the mainstream.

In all liklihood this company will be the target of a takeover. When will it happen? Damned if I know. But you can be sure that the current owners will want to get the price as high as they can before they are approached with a take over bid. If the company can penetrate the entire compiler market i.e. Mac AND Windows...then the company becomes very, very important. If it is able to position itself as the compiler product of choice...whoever controls the compiler product of choice controls the development of software...if not all software, at least a big chunk of that industry.

Add it up
-excellent product
-extremely competitive price
-almost all applications:
Java
Magicap
Pascal
C+
C++
PowerTV
Embedded systems
US Robotics Pilot(hand held personal digital assistant very good article in WSJ a couple of weeks ago)
and others
-moving into mainstream Windows market

I think it all bodes very well for the company.

Here is a question: Can you find any negative info on Metrowerks?? I can't. I have been looking because if there is something out there I want to know about it. I do not want to get blind sided.

Anyway Gary. There it is. I believe that $15 is an excellent price. A move to NASDAQ is coming in the next month or so. Will that do anything? Who knows? Wait and see.
