Steve: Here's another answer to your question, "Has any [person] changed the lives of mankind like Jesus?" Yes. Thomas Alva Edison. He changed the lives of virtually all on this planet (a feat that Jesus NEVER accomplished) by creating the electric power plant. He also changed the direction of the world and enabled the explosion of technology. In fact many of his inventions changed the world: the stock ticker changed commerce the phonograph changed music the motion picture camera changed the arts and on and on... In a positive, measurable, material way, Edison did MUCH more for the world than Jesus and touched more lives in a positive way as well. FT
