Agora:
I'm with you so lets end the pissing contest.
Specifically
1. I have no idea how much it costs to put out a press release. Valunet seems to put them out when they have something IMPORTANT to say. How much does it cost? How much are you paid by Valunet each month?
2. Have the NHL phone cards been successful? Have they made any money at all? Will this relationship be continued? It seems that if they were any kind of a success, then Valunet would have been happy to publish some results.
3. You comment that it is not, and has not been your business to do due diligence for us. By the same logic, SI is not a newsletter to be used by Agora to promote its clients interests. As I stated, this is a forum where UNAFILIATED investors can share information and ideas. If you are being PAID by the company to keep the public informed about their business via the internet, then how can you do so with any degree of fairness. The very nature of your relationship defines conflict of interest.
While it is impossible to keep individuals and unscrupulous groups from advancing their own self-interest, I think that as you have stated, you represent the company as a paying client. As far as I am concerned, you should take this kind of business off this forum.
4. If Valunet does not tell you what or when to write, then what do they pay you for? Would you be willing to post a negative report? I think that a stock falling from over $4.00 to under 40 cents in nine months would require some kind of comment other than blue skies ahead.
5 Me Personally:
I have followed this stock for about six months after becoming interested in their relationship with the NHL, and their NHL Olympic phone cards. Seemed like an excellent idea at the time. Yes I lurked, B/c I had nothing to add. I have had personal contact with the company, including a long phone converation with the president David. After answering most of my questions with respect to the float, the vesting of shares, and their future programs, I chose not to invest.
One of the main issues that scared me off, was the fact that David offered to get me into a cheap Private placement at well below current market conditions, He inferred that these were shares that overseas investors were trying to unload. This set off the alarm bells, and i have followed along as an interested bystander. Ask David if this is true or not.
6. As far as any friend popping up to slag Valu-net, anyone who posts here about Valunet is unknow to me, can you say the same about Agora
7. I finally felt compelled to post b/c I was actually very close to taking a flyer on this puppy, before backing off. I suppose I am just looking to justify my own lack of intelligence, and would also like to know the real story. Who knows, maybe I'm completely off base here and Valu-net is the next great story waiting to happen?
Show me a recent balance sheet and income statement that proves me wrong, and I will recant and self-flagellate in public.
Best wishes and good investing to all
