Oracle reminds me of Novell. They're everywhere, got great distribution channels, in-depth training program, etc.

However, Novell rested on its laurels in terms of improving its technology. Oracle seems to be doing the same.

Another case in point--the need to store and manage the components of a complex website. Here again Informix is taking a leadership role.

Other companies have made big improvements in shortening their development cycle. I'm not even sure Oracle8 will ship by mid97--it is already very late.

These are lots of danger signs for the long term Oracle stock holder.
