Hi Jack,

I was a bit surprised by some of the statements in that article also. To my knowledge Novell still owns Wolf Mountain and is working to continue developing the clustering technology. On the other hand they were demonstrating the technology over a year ago with twelve servers clustered, and are currently talking about eventually releasing a "clustering" product that is basically a standby server (two nodes...sorta). I've suspected for some time that Merkey was the only one who knew how to put the product together, and when he left with the secrets, it was still a secret to everyone else at Novell.

Novell did not handle the situation very well, still, I've always thought it was a bit odd that less than a month after showing off Wolf Mountain, Merkey all of a sudden had all the investment capitol in the world to develop the product for NT. Very odd.

Regards,

Don
