ROSARIO, if Zulu had come onto Nasdaq as a fancy IPO with big bucks behind it and all the trappings of glamour, might you have bought shares in it?
And would Zulu develop its targeting demographics technology as easily, if it weren't able to acquire, build and still study market reactions to the forerunner, i.e., Doubleclick?
I believe something similar to the above was noted in the very first Wired article on Zulu, immediately after it acquired Softbank Interactive Marketing.
I think folks have lost sight over the fact that Wired, in its first article, hinted that there may well be an advantage to coming into this market from the second tier. Forget about the prejudicially influenced secondary crap that Wired wrote. Go back and read the first Wired article on Zulu, before the SIMer execs got the axe and teamed up on an anti-Zulu vendetta.
And Mincheff will be speaking on building the web, followed by a Microsoft spokesperson. How many people's remarks get keynoted on this subject, with such a followup? There is a distinction here, is there not?
Will Wired be willing to quote him from his speech? Will Wired, too, be willing to pay the high cost of admission to hear Mr. Mincheff's speech? Naw, like Stock Detective, it, too, will get a free press pass.
