Thomas:

Most of the scientists you list were born into christian countries, attended christain schools and had to work within a christian political structure. That they were brainwashed almost from birth and still were able to think rationally enough to be objective in at least one area of their life -- science -- is a testament to the wonderful ability their great minds had to compartmentalize between faith, fiction and reality.

"If not for Jesus, Edison never existed." Is a filthy statement that detracts from the great achievements of one of the greatest men who ever lived. Edison did more good for the world than EVERY mystic who EVER lived.

Werner von Braun, a mystic scientist was a willing tool of the Nazis.

When Albert Einstein was once asked by a reporter point blank if he believed in god, Einstein replied, smiling, "I believe in the great god Spinozoa."

Your summation is based upon the blank-out that these men were raised in a christian environment. What if they had been raised as muslims? Or as Buddhists? Or without any religion at all?
